Jeremy Scott is in his 6th year as the head director of orchestras at Putnam City North High School where he has assisted in growing the program by adding a 3rd orchestra class back in the 2017-18 school year. Under his direction, the PC North Symphony Orchestra has earned their 5th consecutive Sweepstakes Award and back to back outstanding achievement awards for 2 ensembles the last two years for receiving superior ratings at every OSSAA contest level offered in Oklahoma each year. He has taken the orchestra to perform all over the world in St. Louis, MO, San Antonio, TX and recently in the Cadogen Hall in London, England. Jeremy instructs 3 orchestras at PC North, assists with 7th and 8th grade orchestras at Hefner Middle School and teaches 5th grade elementary strings at Ralph Down Elementary School. Prior to PCN, Jeremy was the director of Bands and Orchestras at Belle Isle Middle School where they earned top ratings and was awarded best Overall Orchestra at the Texas Director's Choice Festival in 2015.
Jeremy resides in Oklahoma City with his wife Tara and two children Eli and Charlee who are both attending Putnam City Schools and hope to attend PC North High School one day.
Brett Smith is in his 4th year of teaching and is moving from Pennsylvania to Oklahoma City to work as the Putnam City North Assistant Orchestra director. Brett is originally from East Texas and spent his childhood and teenage years there. After Graduating high school, he moved to OKC to attend Southern Nazarene University where he graduated with a degree in vocal and instrumental music education. He has spent the last 3 years teaching choir, band and orchestra to lots of gifted students and is very excited to be teaching in Oklahoma again.
Brett Smith is excited to work with PC students and explore what music has to offer for everyone. He will be residing soon in OKC with his wife Jessica and dog Nugget!
